Sweat Level
All Thompson Tees are guaranteed to block 100% of underarm sweat.
We know that everyone sweats differently. If you're looking for the most sweat protection possible, it's important to know that our sweat proof underarm panels are scaled to size. For example, a size 2XL shirt will have a larger underarm barrier than an XS, M and even an XL.
Due to design limitations, our women’s shirts have smaller underarm barriers than our men’s styles. However, they are also scaled to size, so if you need more sweat protection, size up.
Among extreme sweaters, some women prefer to wear men’s shirts for extra sweat protection. We offer XS sizes for our Regular and Slim Fit Men’s shirts, which could be an excellent option for women who experience severe axillary hyperhidrosis. See below for more information.
Thompson Tee Sizing
All Thompson Tees follow typical T-shirt sizing. For example, if you wear a size large in most undershirts, a large Original Fit Thompson Tee will probably fit you. Our Slim Fit options are intended to fit slightly tighter to the body than our Original Fit version to create a sleek profile.

We highly recommend taking measurements before ordering. For the most accurate sizing, measure around the fullest part of your chest and over a shirt to account for layering.

Both our men's and women’s sweat proof t-shirts come in two styles: Original and Slim Fit, both made with Hydro-Shield® technology. Our anti odor undershirts are all Slim Fit, and our new anti odor t-shirt is intended to fit like a conventional tee, neither too slim nor too bulky.

Original Fit or Slim Fit?
Our Original Fit undershirts provide more breathing room for those who prefer a looser fit, but they’re still meant to be worn under other clothes. This means they fit slightly more snug than outerwear. Our Slim Fit undershirts and t-shirts offer a sleek, subtle look and are intended to fit snugly, even for undershirts. This makes them a more discreet layer underneath your clothing.
If you're looking for maximum sweat protection but prefer the fit of a traditional t-shirt, try a size up in one of our Original Fit undershirts. However, be careful not to size up too much, or else our underarm barrier may not fit correctly. If you’re looking for something in between, consider our new Lux t-shirt with our patented Odor Shield™ technology for odor protection.
For most people, the fit you choose will ultimately depend on your lifestyle preferences. Think about what you wear daily—do you typically wear suits or dress shirts? If so, the Slim Fit option may be a great choice. The Original Fit will do the job if your daily wear is much more casual.
Neckline Options
Crew neck, v-neck, or deep v-neck – which one should you choose? Choosing the right undershirt style depends on the type of clothing you usually wear, whether you want the Thompson Tee garment to sit underneath your clothing or on top as a standalone layer.
Thompson Tee offers the following necklines for men and women:
- Men – Crewneck, V-Neck, Deep V-Neck (only available with Original Fit)
- Women – Scoop Neck, Deep V-Neck, Crewneck (only available with original fit)
V-neck, Deep V-neck and Scoop Neck styles are all intended to fit underneath common shirt, dress and other silhouettes for men and women. This allows them to be practically invisible. Crewneck styles may show through top layers, depending on what they’re worn under.
Sleeve Length Options
Whether you choose traditional short sleeve or long sleeve tees usually depends on personal choice and weather conditions. Our long sleeve options provide extra warmth under sweaters and jackets, while short sleeves provide lighter sweat protection during warm months.
Thompson Tees offer the following sleeve lengths for men and women:

Our new SHORT line offers a 1” shorter sleeve for men’s Original and Slim Fit undershirts. Fit snugly under a short-sleeve button-up or polo shirt—or show off your bicep pump—with ease!
All Thompson Tees, regardless of sleeve length, can be worn as undergarments or top layers.
Color Options
The undershirt color you wear matters. If you’ve always defaulted to wearing a white undershirt beneath your clothes, you might be surprised at how good different colors can look on you.
For example, a white tee will most always show under clothing—even (or especially!) white clothing and dress shirts. Try wearing a black, navy or dark green undershirt if your outer layer is dark. Alternatively, check out tan, beige or gray undershirts if you’re wearing white or pastels.

Remember the “one to wear, one for the wash, one for the drawer” rule. Thompson Tees are available in multi-packs, including multi-color packs, so you always have a clean shirt available.
