If you’re unsure about sizing, go one size larger to allow for shrinkage. Our sizing accounts for anticipated shrinkage, so shirts will fit the approximate measurements after being washed. How much any garment actually shrinks will vary depending on machines, settings, and other factors. However, our Deep V-neck style tends to fit bigger in the chest due to the deep neckline. For that style, we recommend sizing down.

Thompson Tees are designed with minimal seams to reduce visibility and enhance comfort. However, depending on the fit and thickness of the white dress shirt worn over the Thompson Tee, there is a possibility that faint seam lines may be slightly visible. The visibility of the seams can also depend on the lighting conditions and the specific fabric of the dress shirt you choose.

To minimize seam visibility, we recommended choosing a dress shirt that is not overly tight and pairing it with a Thompson Tee undershirt that closely matches the color of the dress shirt.

Yes! Thompson Tee undershirts can be machine-washed in cold or warm water and dried in medium (or lower) heat in most consumer and commercial washing machines and dryers.

We HIGHLY recommend turning the garment inside out when washing AND drying to ensure the fabric exposed to the skin and sweat is thoroughly cleaned and dried. You can also hang our undershirt to dry in the sun. Please see your neck label for complete care instructions.

We also recommend avoiding bleach, bleach alternatives and bleach byproducts, along with dry cleaning and ironing, as these products and practices could potentially compromise our sweat proof technology.

We recommend washing all garments before wearing them for the first time, especially undergarments. This will tighten the fibers, making them softer and more comfortable.

We do not recommend sleeping overnight in the Thompson Tee. Thompson Tees are functional garments, and there is no inherent problem with wearing them overnight, but we do not advise doing so because underarm sweat is generally not a concern during sleep. Minimizing regular wear and tear will optimize functionality when it matters and prolong the lifespan of the shirt.

We build anticipated shrinkage into each garment we create, so your shirt should shrink to the designated size on our chart. You can expect minimal shrinkage compared to other undershirts.

For example, our Original Fit sweat proof shirts are made of cotton, so you can expect about 5% shrinkage. Our Slim Fit sweat proof shirts use rayon and spandex, so you can expect about 8% shrinkage. Other products that feature high-quality cotton and poly blends have similar shrinkage.

Everyone sweats, and sweat smells. To prevent odor from sticking around, turn the shirt inside out when washing to ensure the part exposed to your skin is thoroughly cleaned and dried.

We recommend pretreating by applying non-bleach detergent directly to the inside of the shirt’s underarm area (the area touching the skin) before washing. You can also periodically wash shirts in hot water to improve cleaning. Repeat the steps above for tough odors, using distilled white vinegar to pretreat the underarm area. Don’t worry—the vinegar smell will wash out.
